13 July Four years after its Japanese release, "Tales from Earthsea" is finally coming to America. Back in 2006 and 2007 most of the world got to see Studio Ghibli's film, an adaptation of Ursula K. Le Guin's "Earthsea" novels. The film could not be released in the US, however, because SyFy owned the screen rights to the "Earthsea" property. Now that those rights have expired, Disney is giving the film a limited release in the US on August 13. If the film gets a good enough reception, Disney may offer a wider release later this summer. Tales from Earthsea features the voices of Willem Dafoe, Cheech Marin and Timothy Dalton.

9 July On June 15, Disney released a new video game based on "Toy Story 3". The game features Timothy Dalton reprising his voice-role of Mr. Pricklepants. On June 19, Dalton also appeared on a popular talk show "Made in Hollywood" talking about his role in the Disney film.

"CHUCK" - TV series, season 4, 2010-2011

Timothy Dalton will guest star in the fourth season of NBC's action comedy series "Chuck" starring Zachary Levi. The actor "will be playing a mysterious stranger who has a history with Chuck's mom (Linda Hamilton)". Despite what conclusion you might leap to, executive producer Josh Schwartz dismisses the speculation that 007 may be Chuck's real father: "Consider that theory squashed. We'll only say that they've known each other for a long time".

Dalton begins his character's multi-episodic arc on the seventh episode, "Chuck Versus the First Fight". "In truth, we've wanted to have him on the show since season one," said producer Josh Schwartz, shooting down talk that Dalton might portray Chuck's real father. "When we came up with this part, we thought he'd be perfect. So we sent him [some episodes], he dug it, and then we started talking". Season 4 of the series premieres on September 20, 2010.

"Chuck" is an action-comedy-drama series created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. It tells the story of an "average computer-whiz-next-door" who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend now working in the CIA; the message embeds the only remaining copy of the world's greatest spy secrets into Chuck's brain. The regular cast features Zachary Levi, Adam Baldwin, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster, Ryan McPartlin, Vik Sahay, Scott Krinsky, Julia Ling, and Mark Christopher Lawrence.

"WEST OF THE EQUATOR" - feature film

KeanuWeb.com has posted a message from Cheryl Bartlam Dubois, author of the book "West of the Equator", about the progress in the pre-production of the movie adaptation of her novel. Here's what she says about the casting: "We're still casting but Keanu Reeves has our offer - he's available and we hope to sign him after the holidays. The girl is still up in the air. Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, or Hilary Swank maybe - that's the present list. Timothy Dalton will play Fritz, the charter agent, and I believe Rick Fox will be Ian, the spirit guide." The film is being produced by Jeff Apple ("The Recruit," & "In the Line of Fire") and it will be directed by Ted Kotcheff ("Law & Order," "Weekend at Bernies," & "Switching Channels"). It is being cast by Pemrick & Fronk.

"West of the Equator" is a novel about life, love, and self discovery on the tropical waters of the Caribbean, which picks up where "Don't Stop the Carnival" left off. It's a unique journey told by the protagonist's spirit guide - a spiritual tutorial within an every man's/woman's story. It is a tale of sailing off on an unknown adventure and shedding society as we know it. It is a story about every American's dream - to give it all up and live in Paradise.
