RUMOURED PROJECTS
"CLEAN OUT" - feature film planned for 2010
As reported by ScreenDaily.com in May 2009, Timothy Dalton was cast along Harvey Keitel, Mads Mikkelsen, Peter Stormare and Elliot Gould in a new Barthelemy Grossmann feature film "Clean Out". The $13.6m (E10m) action-drama sees New York's Italian and Russian mafias working together on a money laundering scheme. When the deal's middle-man dies violently, the families set off for Zurich where a battle for the fortune ensues. The darkly comedic film starts principal photography on September 14 in New York and will shoot for ten weeks in NY, Zurich and Berlin.
"WEST OF THE EQUATOR" - feature film
KeanuWeb.com has posted a message from Cheryl Bartlam Dubois, author of the book "West of the Equator", about the progress in the pre-production of the movie adaptation of her novel. Here's what she says about the casting: "We're still casting but Keanu Reeves has our offer - he's available and we hope to sign him after the holidays. The girl is still up in the air. Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, or Hilary Swank maybe - that's the present list. Timothy Dalton will play Fritz, the charter agent, and I believe Rick Fox will be Ian, the spirit guide." The film is being produced by Jeff Apple ("The Recruit," & "In the Line of Fire") and it will be directed by Ted Kotcheff ("Law & Order," "Weekend at Bernies," & "Switching Channels"). It is being cast by Pemrick & Fronk.
"West of the Equator" is a novel about life, love, and self discovery on the tropical waters of the Caribbean, which picks up where "Don't Stop the Carnival" left off. It's a unique journey told by the protagonist's spirit guide - a spiritual tutorial within an every man's/woman's story. It is a tale of sailing off on an unknown adventure and shedding society as we know it. It is a story about every American's dream - to give it all up and live in Paradise.
