The film is a remake of the French 2005 thriller "Anthony Zimmer" and is directed by the acclaimed German director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck ("Das Leben der Anderen"). 16 March As reported in May last year, Timothy Dalton was cast in an upcoming gangster drama "Clean Out", to be directed by Barthelemy Grossman of the "13 m2" fame. The film was set to start production last September but due to financial problems it was put on halt at the end of that year. Although it's been quiet about the film since then, IMDb.com has an active entry on "Clean Out" with an "in production" status and a "rumoured" participation of Dalton in the role of Kupfer. 28 Feb Yesterday Timothy Dalton appeared at the 24th Annual American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Outstanding Achievement Awards celebration at the Hyatt regency Century Plaza Hotel. As reported by Deadline.com, Dalton espoused some poetic insights about the diverse range of films that were nominated for top honors in the feature film category when presenting the award to Christian Berger. "Movies are amazing," he said. "You walk into a darkened theater and are swept up in a story steeped in fact or built on fantasy and everything in-between. You can fall in love with characters or the story can break your heart."

5 Jan Mr. Pricklepants, a thespian hedgehog voiced by Timothy Dalton in "Toy Story 3" has been revealed over Christmas on Disney channel. He appears in the new advert featuring director Lee Unkrich. The clip already contains the character speaking with the voice of Dalton. The film is to premiere in USA on June 18, 2010.

3 Jan Shortly after its initial screening on television, "The End Of Time" is set to be released on DVD on Feb 2, 2010. A couple of different editions are announced, including a 2-disc regular set and a 2-disc blu-ray version. It will also be released as part of "Doctor Who - The Complete Specials" box.

1 Dec The upcoming edition of the Radio Times features David Tennant discussing his final episodes of "Doctor Who" as well as chatting about one of the guest stars - former James Bond Timothy Dalton. David said: "He was lovely. He had the panache and the skill of a movie star, without any of the alarming eccentricities or peculiar demands. At one point, he was singing the Doctor Who theme tune to me as I sang the James Bond theme tune to him!"

1 Nov According to TV Overmind the first of the remaining three episodes of David Tennant's reign - "The Waters of Mars", will be aired on BBC One on Sunday November 15 (and on December 19 on BBC America). The sixty minute special will be followed over the Christmas holiday period by the two part episode "The End of Time", with the first part being due to air on Christmas Day. The second part has currently not been scheduled, but is expected to air on or near to New Year's Day.

16 Oct According to IMDb.com, "Tales from Earthsea", an English-dubbed version of the Japanese animated feature film "Gedo Senki" (2006), with Timothy Dalton playing the voice-role of Ged, the Sparrowhawk, will premiere in USA on July 30, 2010. IMDb.com has now also removed the planned release date of "The Waters of Mars", the first of the three "Doctor Who" specials with Dalton in a dual role of the Narrator and the Time Lord. Although the release date of the film can change, it seems it will however premiere later this year.

11 Sep Timothy Dalton has joined the cast of two animated features. According to Empire Dalton will voice Mr. Pricklepants, a hedgehog toy with thespian tendencies, in a Disney/Pixar production of "Toy Story 3". The film is set for a release in 2010. Dalton will also voice Lord Milori in "Tinker Bell: A Winter Story", a direct-to-DVD film also produced by Disney and set to premiere in 2011.

4 Aug Timothy Dalton's role in "Doctor Who" has now been officially confirmed in an interview with David Tennant published in July. Same month at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego a sneak preview of the last two episodes of "Doctor Who" starring Tennant were shown. The clip can be now found on YouTube. It is narrated by Dalton.

16 July On April 30 new "Flash Gordon" orchestral soundtrack was released on CD. The album features Howard Blake's instrumental score, which was composed in addition to the songs written and performed by rock band Queen. The CD includes 26 tracks (total running time: 52 minutes) and also includes Blake's score for "Amityville". Although released in limited edition and for promotional use only it can be purchased at BusySoundtracks.
